Gemstone Video invites you to capture your once-in-a-lifetime theatrical event using our high-quality digital videography services. We always record theatrical performances and recitals with a minimum of two digital video cameras, which provides you with a wonderfully varied and wide-ranging final video.
All Gemstone videographers and editors are film school and theatre graduates and possess an intimate understanding of the complexity of videotaping live performances. Our videographers have the experience to deal with the particular complexities of this kind of event, including changes in lighting and recording many different sound sources.
Our belief in planning and coordination means that we will attend a rehearsal for your theatrical performance or recital. This is particularly useful for dance performances, which require close coordination of the various cameras. For example, while one videographer is shooting a wide shot of the entire stage, another videographer will be focusing on a close shot of particular group of dancers. Our pre-planning allows us to select the best shots and create a seamless flow of beautiful images for the final video.
Equally, top-quality sound is of paramount importance for live performances. Gemstone uses multiple microphones and line feeds to create a pristine mix of the music, audience reactions and, where appropriate, sounds created by the performers. This combination of sound sources will enable you to experience the full audio-visual experience of your theatrical event in the comfort of your own home.In addition, we can provide DVD duplication services so that you can offer copies to your customers.
